CLASS PROPOSAL
ABOUT SEAS CLASSES FOR INSTRUCTORS
Applying Instructor is responsible for:
Setting class price
Receiving payment
Acquiring students
Promotion
Supply list
Providing any necessary special equipment or additional supplies
Set-up of classroom
Clean-up of classroom
Agrees to be directly contacted by students
Non-SEAS instructor agrees to pay SRQ East Art Studios a non-refundable classroom rental hold fee of $25 to book class space. Our fee for Non-SEAS artist classes is 30%. The 30% of collected fees should be paid at the end of class to a SEAS representative. Any fees not paid at the end of class will incur a 10% late fee of total amount due, per day past start date. Instructor agrees to adhere to all SEAS Class Policies.
Teachers and students agree to indemnify and hold harmless SRQ East Art Studios for any damage to, or loss of, artwork and other property owned by or in the care, custody or control of the teacher or students. Teachers and students agree to indemnify and hold harmless SRQ East Art Studios for any injuries or damages arising from the activities or operations of the Teachers and students, and agree to indemnify SRQ East Art Studios for any claims made against it arising from the activities or operations of the teachers and students. In all cases, such indemnification includes SRQ East Art Studios' reasonable attorney's fees.
SEAS CLASSROOM POLICIES
Teachers will return classroom tables and chairs to original position. Teachers should take every reasonable measure to ensure floor is not damaged, adding tarp or floor covering if necessary. Seas can provide floor covering for additional $30 fee which includes set-up and use of coverings. Removal will be part of the clean up process and the responsibility of the instructor to wipe, sweep and roll or fold up (or leave to dry if very wet).
Trash must be picked up, classroom swept, and taken out to the outside trash receptacle. Replace the bag in the classroom, kitchen and bathroom trash can.
Failure to return the classroom to normal configuration, cleaning the space, and/or taking out the trash will result in a $50 cleaning fee. Repeat offenders will not be welcomed back.
Teachers are responsible for bringing extension cords or power strips if electricity access is needed.
If a student contacts SRQ East Art Studios regarding a class they will be told to contact the teacher. SRQ East Art Studios will not be forwarding messages for teachers or students.
All spray paints, fixatives, sealers, adhesive, anything in a spray can or very smelly must be used outside.
Parking: DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF OTHER BUSINESS' DOORS.
***Please ensure that students are aware of this.
SRQ East Art Studios is not responsible for lost, broken or stolen property.
Attendees may use the on-site fridge for storing their lunches or drinks.
Classes are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.
A classroom fee of $25 is required to hold the space. This fee is non-refundable and due at time of confirmation of date and time. SRQ East Art Studios understands that last minute emergencies, illness or conflicts come up that cannot be controlled.
Teachers must contact SRQ East Art Studios no less than 24 hours before a class/workshop and inform SRQ East Art Studios and students of cancellation.
SRQ East Art Studios reserves the right to take pictures or video for the purposes of promotion. Please be advised that by entering SRQ East Art Studios locations is consent for photography, unless notified otherwise.
