Karen Stevens Brazell

I love vibrant color. Life can be stressful and complicated. I enjoy depicting the 'Lighter Side of Life' using bright, complimentary colors. I want my paintings to make people smile and feel an emotional lift.

PEARL BERGER

I experiment with color, texture and shapes that exist in my minds eye - and giving them a space in the “real” world via art is both freeing and empowering.

ALLISON COHEN

I enjoy experimenting with a variety of media and surfaces on which to paint and collage. Salvaged, thrifted, and up-cycled projects are a favorite. Personalized gifts are my specialty. Always learning and exploring - I love the creative life!

STUDIO 207
GIL MALLARI

I’m a digital mixed media artist that is constantly growing. My work is a collage mashup of various mediums and styles. Inspired by loud vibrant colors and bold subject matters.

STUDIO 208
ALAN RIFKEN

My art pays tribute to the gift of every day by embracing the colors, shapes and vibrancy found in the world around us. Using fun and somewhat unconventional means to apply paint to canvas like sponges, cloth and rollers, my paintings reflect that inspiration and the beauty, hope and optimism of our shared gift in abstract yet relatable ways.

I like exploring light and shadow effects in my arts through various media such as oil, acrylic, watercolor and graphite pencil, etc. Creating art brings joy to my life and I love to capture life’s memorable moments and show the character of my subjects.

STUDIO 210
MICHELLE HELD

I have been an artist in Sarasota for 30 years. I find my inspiration in the grandeur and majesty of natural scenery. Working  to capture the ever-changing light of the picturesque scenes and immersing my self in nature, is what led me to my passionate bird paintings. Whether it's the ephemeral flight of a bird or the timeless beauty of a landscape, the artwork I create serves as a reminder of our innate connection to the world around us and encourages us to protect and cherish it.

SEAS STUDIO DIRECTOR
I am interested in exploring color combinations and their emotional effects using acrylics, pastels, inks, pencil and anything that will make a beautiful mark. My abstract landscapes are the essence of a cherished memory filtered onto the canvas, with contrasts of large gestures, delicate lines, bold colors and texture.

I was originally born and raised in Western Australia (and yes, I still have the accent). I decided to pick up a paint brush when I was 24 years old (late, I know). It wasn't long before all the creativity started to pour itself out onto a canvas and I soon realized that I needed to keep going with it. It became my happy place. As I traveled the world, I found myself being inspired by color and the architecture of all the fabulous places I've been lucky enough to land in. Currently, that place is Sarasota Florida, with my husband and two fur babies.
